Attraction Entrance & Queue
Guests approach Cinemascape through a stylized outdoor plaza flanked by the two large circular ride platforms. The environment evokes a buzzing backlot studio in mid-production. Art Deco inspired truss lighting rigs line the perimeter of the ride’s platforms. In the center of each platform is a decorative film set featuring a director’s chair, camera rig, stage lighting, fog machines, CO2 cannons, and occasional flame bursts, timed to the ride’s spinning crescendo and erupt during the ride’s climax.
The queue gently wraps through a fenced path along the right side of the plaza themed to a movie set’s production base camp. Styled elements like dolly tracks, call sheets, clapperboards, and lighting trees set the stage, while nearby movie star trailers peek out between planters and walkways. Ambient audio plays rehearsal chatter and studio bustle, immersing guests in the world of filmmaking before they board the ride.
Loading
Guests are divided between the two ride pads and grouped by ride operators. Each camera reel vehicle holds 4 riders in an open-air spinning gondola. Riders watch the the crew counts down: “3… 2… 1… ACTION!” as music and lighting begin to pulse.
Ride Sequence
As the ride begins:
The camera reel gondolas begin to spin freely like a teacup ride while the entire ride platform rotates.
Onboard sound triggers musical beats that sync to strobing lights, fog jets, CO2 bursts, and occasional fire plumes from the central scenic props.
The gondolas rise and dip slightly to simulate the rolling motion of a dramatic chase or dance scene.
Spotlights whirl across the ride’s platform while chase lights circle the platform’s perimeter.
The intensity builds with music and lighting climaxing in a dramatic camera flash effect, followed by a stylish fade-out as the ride slows and resets.
Unload & Exit
Guests exit at the same platform they boarded. A short exit path reconnects with the plaza’s main walkway. A small shaded area offers seating for non-riders.
